Located North of Linda Vista and East of Interstate 5 is Clairemont.  Clairemont is one of the larger neighborhoods in San Diego and consists of over thirteen square mile.  Clairemont is the largest Post-War subdivision in San Diego and was known as a Village Within a City.  Over seven homes per day were constructed in Clairemont during the early 1950s and it became the largest Post-War bedroom community of it's kind in the United States.
